Looking Back On The Empty Quarter Expedition

While it’s chilly back here in England, my good friend Lawrence Ball is currently enduring the scorching heat of Oman’s Dhofar Mountains.

A year on from the 2012 Expedition, a new team has ventured out to continue our research into this fascinating environment. Here’s two very good reasons why they’ve gone back. I miss the odd geology, unexpected visitors and blissfully sweet Omani Tea, but I can’t wait to see what they find. But in the mean time, I’m very excited to be speaking to the Anglo-Omani Society tomorrow evening, with huge thanks for their generous sponsorship of the expedition.

Here’s the footage of the Arabian Leopard that we were lucky enough to capture last year, scroll down for the latest blog updates from the team.
